I didn’t start my weight journey until my mid 30’s.

I didn’t start seriously working out and training until my late 30’s to early 40’s.

I didn’t have a full transformation or have the perspective and mindset I have now until a few years ago.

What I do daily that has me so happy at almost 50 (Turning 49 this year)…

💫 I lift weights
I train consistently 5 times a week for about 45 minutes to an hour. I set goals and I push myself to get there. I have a coach that pushes me beyond where I even think I can go, and I keep working.

💫 I walk
I walk daily and get a minimum of 10k steps a day. They are not intense walks, I enjoy the fresh air and peaceful thinking that come with my walks. I am very mindful of my movement and keep my body moving all day long.

💫 I eat
I am not on a diet, I eat healthy. I have a structured diet, I eat three meals a day and I enjoy eating this way. I prioritize my protein and fibre, I love vegetables and fruit and I eat carbs and healthy fats too. Sometimes I eat more of some things and less of others but that is all relevant to my goals at that time.

💫 I drink water
I drink a minimum of 3L of water every day no matter if I’m out or at home. I don’t chug my water, I start sipping from the morning and do that all day through.

💫 I prioritize sleep
7 hours is what I aim for every night. I shut everything down because I know I need that 7 hours! I do not watch TV on weeknights because it will suck me in, and I avoid my phone.

💫 I limit alcohol
I once drank socially, that is very close to zero now. I don’t enjoy it very much, and it makes me feel awful after. It affects my entire body, head, sleep, and digestion, so not worth it.

💫 I avoid distraction
I focus on myself, which means making myself a priority. I stay on my path, and away from distractions, things that do not serve me or my family well or things that are out of my control.

These things are my every day!

All things you should be giving yourself.
